Fellows & Team
Sensus Communis is carried by people who take political judgement seriously — as scholarship, as practice and as a shared responsibility.

Europe and a cosmopolitan outlook were, quite literally, laid in my cradle with the privilege of my German-Polish nationality.
As Robert Schuman said in his world-famous declaration proposing the European Coal and Steel Community:
“World peace cannot be safeguarded without the making of creative efforts proportionate to the dangers which threaten it.”
Sensus Communis is meant to be just such an attempt at a creative effort. Carried by wise and responsible people, a place of judgement is emerging that enables constructive and critical collaboration in the search for shared solutions to outstanding challenges.
Beyond solving problems, the aim is to show that the collective use of one’s own understanding — a Sensus Communis — is not only possible in polarised times, but all the more necessary to bring forth the best solutions of our time.
Mentor & Fellowship Model
True Sensus Communis means that all generations enter into conversation with one another. A two-tier Mentor & Fellowship Model anchors this in the structure: every participant brings a younger, emerging companion, such as a student or young professional, and at the same time takes on a mentorship on site for a participating school pupil. Each Annual Forum thus forms its own cohort: a community that stays connected beyond the forum and, over time, becomes an interwoven expression of a lived Sensus Communis.
